A quick glance at the ingredient lists of today’s most popular bars confirms that our taste buds aren’t lying—most bars aren’t real food. Many bars boast “great macros,” but besides a heaping serving of whey protein concentrate, they lack meaningful nutrients like fiber and phytonutrients. We set out to change all that and came up with a solution we’re proud to share with you: Magic Bar!
With 10 grams of plant protein, 2 grams of functional mushrooms, and 4 grams of dietary fiber, Magic Bar provides real nourishment while tasting shockingly delicious. Each bite is a nutrient-dense delight. Magic Bar is made only with clean ingredients you can feel good about, plus it’s vegan, gluten-free, and low glycemic.
Functional ingredients are part of our DNA at Lifestacks, so we wanted Magic Bar to be more than just a snack—it had to nourish both body and mind. That’s where mushrooms come in.
Mushrooms have been all the rage recently, and for good reason. Modern science backs up the amazing health benefits for which these ingredients have been used for centuries. Just last year, for example, a study in the Journal of Neurochemistry found that Lion’s Mane caused neurons in the hippocampus – a region of the brain crucial for memory and learning – to grow and connect more actively. We’re excited by these findings and selected full doses of Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps, and Maitake mushrooms to give Magic Bar its unique functional edge. Here’s why:

We’re proud to source all of our mushrooms from Monterey Mushrooms, a family-owned grower based in California known for sustainable practices and decades of expertise. And in case you’re wondering—no, our mushrooms don’t have any psychedelic effects.
From Our Home to Yours
Magic Bar started as a delicious treat made at home and blossomed into an intensive R&D project. We’re obsessed with the science of nutrition, and as with all of our products, we held ourselves to extremely high standards throughout the development process. Our co-founder Zack is a Type 1 Diabetic, so Magic Bar needed to be low-glycemic—and it is. Magic Bar is crafted with slow-absorbing carbs that prevent blood sugar spikes. Think sourdough instead of white bread! It’s designed to keep you feeling full and energized for longer, making it the perfect snack for an active lifestyle.
We’ve crafted three delicious flavors so far: Peanut Butter Maple, Mint Chocolate Chip, and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip. This is just the beginning for Magic Bar, so let us know what other flavors you’d like to see! All of our bars are fully shelf-stable, so you can easily take them on the road or the trail. That said, most people prefer eating Magic Bar chilled, so we recommend storing them in the fridge or freezer.
